2. Don't forget the hidden spots
Inside cabinets and drawers, window tracks, door frames and behind appliances collect the most residue. Wipe these with a damp microfiber cloth rather than dry dusting, which just spreads particles into the air.
3. Change filters and vacuum vents
Construction dust clogs HVAC filters fast. Replace them and vacuum out the vents so you're not recirculating dust for months after the job is done.
4. Finish with floors
Vacuum thoroughly with a HEPA filter, then mop hard floors twice — the first pass lifts the bulk of the dust and the second leaves a streak-free finish.
